BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — Jack Peters has been re-elected president of the Keystone Central School Board, and James “Butch” Knauff returned as vice-president.

But the vote to return Peters as president was not unanimous this time around, his re-election on a 6-3 vote. Peters was nominated by board member Tom Shafer and Charles Rosamilia nominated Roger Elling.

Peters, Shafer, Knauff, Wayne Koch, Greg Strouse and Albert Jones then voted for Peters while Rosamilia, Elling and Debra Smith voted for Elling. There was no comment from board members during and immediately after the vote, other than Koch congratulating Peters on his re-election.

The 6-3 vote was the same as at the board’s November meeting when Rosamilia, Elling and Smith opposed another five-year term for district superintendent Kelly Hastings.
