State COVID cases continue climb

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 2,173 new cases, the highest one-day amount since Feb. 26.

The state reported 586 residents hospitalized, up 48 from Tuesday and the biggest one-day jump since Jan. 14. Those in intensive care units numbered 69.

Clinton County reported six new cases for a total of 9,077. Centre County increased by 34 for a total of 35,552 and Lycoming County reported 14 new cases for a total of 28,596.

The state reported 13 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 126.
