Clinton County Drug Take Back program announced
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse has announced the county will again be participating in the annual Drug Take Back program next week. The information was posted on social media:
Announcing the bi-annual Clinton County Drug Take Back week from April 25th through April 29th.
The weeklong program is being held as part of the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative to dispose of expired and unused prescription medications before they can get into the hands of young people.
According to the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, more than 11.5 million people age 12 and older misuse a prescription pain reliever each year. More than 40 percent of those drugs are obtained from friends and family members – typically without their knowledge.
Please take the time to help your family members, especially the elderly, clean out their unwanted and expired medication and take them to one of the Medication Drop Boxes located throughout Clinton County.
