LHU no longer requiring masking in classrooms
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Lock Haven University posted word Monday that effective March 1, while still highly recommended, masks are no longer required in classrooms and most other indoor university spaces as long as Clinton County remains in the medium (or low) community risk category, per newly updated CDC and state Department of Health guidelines.
Masking will still be required at LHU’s Clearfield campus as Clearfield County is among those areas still in the high community risk category.
Masks/face coverings will still be required on the LHU campus at its Glennon Health Clinic, on public transportation such as the LHU shuttle/trolley and bus trips and at campus COVID testing locations if experiencing symptoms; a testing location remains in operation in the Parsons Student Union building through April 2.
The school announcement said the CDC COVID-19 Community Level will be monitored and any changes for the area would be communicated to the campus community.
According to the LHU COVID dashboard, four COVID cases have been reported over the last seven days and the positivity rate is 2.9%.
