Wildcat golfers down Shamokin

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain golf team romped to its first win of the season on Tuesday, besting visiting Shamokin at the Clinton Country Club by a score of 168 to 232.

Sophomore Griffin Walizer led the Wildcats with a low score of 38 for nine holes. Lincoln Waugh and Joey Tarr paced the Indians with a score of 56 each.

The Wildcats are now 1-1 on the season. Wednesday’s scheduled match has already been called off due to the impending rain from Tropical Storm Ida.
