Central Mountain track splits at Shamokin
COAL TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain track and field squads split in a Tuesday competition at Shamokin High School. Coach Danielle Wilson’s girls won by a 110 to 40 score, while the boys fell to their Indian counterparts, 102-48.
Rachel Hall was the top point-producer on the girls’ side, taking both the 100 and 200 meter races. Other firsts were turned in by: Maddie Jones, 3200; Abbey Wolfe, 800; Sofia Dressler, 1600; Ashley Rich, 100 meter hurdles; 4 x 100, 4 x 400, 4 x 800 relays; Lily Hendricks, high jump; Jocelyn Renninger, pole vault; Briley Lewis, long jump; Kiahna Jones, triple jump; Mallory Eck, shot put; and Mckenna Fox, discus.
On the boys’ side, Dominick Kennedy took first in the pole vault, as did Bryce Gray in the 3200; Brett Gerlach, high jump; Chase Young, triple jump; Logan Dawes, shot put; 4 x 400 relay.
The Wildcat track squads will host Mifflinburg next Tuesday, April 20.
