Denny G. Fisher – Obituary

Denny G. Fisher, 84, of Flemington passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Haven Place, Lock Haven.

Born July 22, 1936 in Lock Haven, he was the only child of the late George S. and Madelyn (Heverly) Fisher.

On September 3, 1956, he married his love, the former Helen R. Fisher, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage before her passing on March 1, 2014.

Denny worked at the Lock Haven Silk Mill before being employed at Clinton Paper Company.  He then worked in vehicle reconditioning for Grant Miller.

He was a member of the Flemington First Church of Christ.

Denny was community oriented, serving as a volunteer firefighter with the Flemington Fire Company, helping coach Little League, and being a key player in the organization of the Clinton County Search and Rescue Unit.  He was also honored to serve as the Parade Master for the Flemington Bicentennial Celebration.

Surviving are his sons, Edward D. (Judy) Fisher of Jersey Shore and Steve W. (Rose) Fisher of Lock Haven; three grandchildren: Shane (Christy) Fisher, Yvonne (Craig) Martin and Lacie (Justin) Brennies; and six great grandchildren: Seth and Shayna Zerby, Logan and Alyssa Fisher and Emmitt and Joanne Rae Brennies.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
