COVID-19 Update: Clinton Up 110; Centre Up 54; Lyco Up 228
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID Data Dashboard Monday reported that as of 12:00 a.m., Dec.21, statewide there were 7,887 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 563,589. The amount of new daily cases is the second smallest since Dec. 7 when 6,330 cases were reported.
The state reported an additional 57 deaths attributed to the coronavirus, the state total 13,981. 18 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 in Clinton County, unchanged from Sunday.
Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 110 to 1,651 (the second highest one-day jump since 114 new cases ten days ago); Centre County, up 54 to 8,333; Lycoming up 228 to 4,974. Other area counties include Cameron, 110; Clearfield, 3,341; Potter, 497; and Union, 2,505.
Thus far 7,126 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, up 281 from Sunday. That jump would appear to reflect the five-day stretch of free testings which concluded on Dec. 14.
