LAMAR, PA – While the cleanup continues on Interstate 80 from a massive Wednesday afternoon collision, state police Friday released the identities of two people who lost their lives.

Their update said the crash victim was Falon Morris, a 24-year-old female from Hollidaysburg. Also passing away, due to a non-traffic, medical issue, was James Faqua, 56, from Mebane, NC. The initial report had said two crash victims had been killed and a third person had lost his life due to a medical condition.

The police update said all other crash victims are known to be hospitalized in stable condition with varying degrees of injures.

As of Friday morning, police said, I-80 westbound is partially open (left lane) with no detour, the right lane is still being cleared and expected to take 8-10 hours Friday. An estimated time of full opening is later Friday afternoon or early evening.

The Wednesday crash had involved 66 vehicles in all and covered a nearly one-mile stretch in the vicinity of the Greene/Lamar Townships line.

State police said they would like to thank all of the agencies who assisted and continue to assist at the scene. Volunteers from some 26 agencies from four counties responded to the incident and worked tirelessly to lend assistance.
