COVID-19 State Update: Clinton Up Four; Centre, Up 31; Lyco, Up 12

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Friday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., October 9, that there were 1,380 additional positive cases of COVID-19 (the highest one-day increase in months and the third day in a row there were more than 1,300 new cases), bringing the statewide total to 169,308.
There are 8,308 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of nine new deaths reported.
Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up four to 223; Centre County, up 31 to 3,322; Lycoming up 12 to 807. Other area counties include Cameron, 8; Clearfield, 353; Potter, 35; and Union, 586.
There were 4,559 Clinton County residents with negative test results, an increase of 27 from Thursday.
