SVRCS Student Earns Runner-Up Award at PA Junior Miss Agriculture USA Event
LOGANTON – Olivia Clester, Lycoming County Jr. Miss Agriculture USA, was recently named Pennsylvania Runner-up Junior Miss Agriculture USA. Olivia is the 13-year-old daughter of Michael and Joy Clester.
Although she resides in Lycoming County, she is a student at Sugar Valley Rural Charter School, with a 4.0 GPA. Olivia is a member of Sugar Valley Ag 4 H Club (Historian), Lycoming County, County Counsel (Parlitarian), and Grillmasters 4H Club.
Her agricultural interests include horses, market goats, and market chickens. She enjoys photography, art, reading and baton twirling. She is involved in Girl Scouts, Jr. FFA, Enviro-thon, Band, Chorus and competition baton twirling, with ‘M’ Twirling Team.
Individually Olivia placed ninth, nationally, in baton solo and finished fourth in All American Modeling, at Youth on Parade, Notre Dame, Indiana, 2019. Olivia has attended Clinton County Camp Cadet for two years, as an honor cadet, and has been selected to return as third year Lead Cadet and will also attend the State Police Academy in July for Leadership Camp.
Olivia has been volunteering throughout the year, with the Clinton County Fair Board, helping to deliver Meals on Wheels, and with the Salvation Army. She is a member of Faith Cornerstone Church and a member of its youth group. She hopes to work with the Lycoming and Clinton County Farm Bureaus and to be able to learn and share her agriculture knowledge throughout the year while visiting local and state businesses, participating in events, speaking and making memories with those who support the agricultural community.
