Anastos Claims Third Belles Springs Title

MACKEYVILLE – Lock Haven resident Alexis Anastos on Sunday won her third straight club championship at the Belles Springs Golf Course. Anastos defeated runner-up Candy Day on the 12th hole for the title.

Anastos soon will begin her junior year at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. The daughter of Jacqui and Phil Anastos, she is majoring in psychology. She has been the #1 player on the team in her first two years and honors there include designation as an “All-American Scholar” and a school-record 77 shot in April of this year.

She is a 2017 graduate of Central Mountain High School and was a two-time PIAA District 6 runner-up. She said she is looking forward to the upcoming fall season at the New England school.
