LHU’s Cayden Stover Named PSAC East Player of the Week
LOCK HAVEN – Senior Cayden Stover (Beech Creek, Pa./Chesapeake C.C.) of the No. 17 Lock Haven University baseball team has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week.
Stover, a Central Mountain High School graduate, hit .750 (6 of 8) in a two-game sweep of Mansfield Saturday to open the four-game PSAC East series.
Stover drove in four runs, scored five times and was a perfect 3 for 3 on stolen base attempts. He had a 1.375 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage.
In the 8-4 game-one win, he was 3 for 4 with three RBIs, a double and three runs scored. In the 4-3 game-two win, Stover was 3 for 4 with two triples and he scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Bald Eagles grabbed the thrilling walk-off win.
For the season Stover is hitting .428, leads the Bald Eagles in doubles with six and triples with three. He is 10-for-11 in stolen bases, drawn 10 walks and struck out only five times, starting all 17 games for LHU.
