Rosemary Diane Heffner – Obituary

ObitArtLOCK HAVEN – Rosemary Diane Heffner, 64, of 1037 North Lane, Lock Haven died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her residence.

She was born January 16, 1952 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of the late Kenneth B. Lamorandier and Lillie M. Arndt Lamorandier who survives in Kalamazoo, MI.  She married Raymond L. Heffner who survives.

Rose taught in Catholic elementary schools for 7 years.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Library Information Science from Louisiana State University.  As an Associate at Online Computer Library Center she helped launch online databases used by librarians worldwide.  She worked as a Library Assistant at the Childrens Center of the Ross Library helping with visual displays and outreach programs.  She also worked with the James V. Brown Library, Williamsport as a Business Librarian and liason with the business community of Lycoming County.  Rose was an active member of the Holy Spirit Parish, St. Agnes Church of Lock Haven.

In addition to her husband and mother, Rose is survived by 4 sisters, Kathleen Ross, of Plainwell, MI, Barbara Caswell, of Kalamazoo, MI, Joanne Macvean, of Martin, MI, and Cheryl Kirschman, of Three Rivers, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven with the Rev. Father Joseph Orr as Celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven.  Friends will be received at the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 East Church Street, Lock Haven on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Parish, 3 East Walnut Street, Lock Haven, PA 17745, Annie Halenbake Ross Library, 232 West Main Street, Lock Haven, PA, 17745 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
