Obituary – Lorraine H. (Conoway) Tressler

Lorraine H. (Conoway) Tressler, 71 of Loganton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her home on November 8, 2025.
Lorraine was born in Fort Bragg North Carolina to Harry T. and Arius L. Conoway on May 3, 1954. She attended Sugar Valley High School and graduated in 1972. She went on to complete several banking certifications and applied them at Loganton Bank for 31 years, followed by another 14 years at Ingram’s Fuels Inc. as a bookkeeper.
Lorraine married Michael W. Tressler on April 10, 1976, and she utilized her financial skills to manage the family’s independent trucking business for over 45 years. She gave back to the community as a church pianist, Sunday School teacher, and choir director for over 60 years. Additionally, she established the American Youth Soccer Organization within Sugar Valley from 1983 to 1992, serving as both a coach and commissioner. Lorraine continued her public service, utilizing her organizational skills, as a founding member of the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School and the community band. Her love of travel was a blessing as she led church, community, and school outings.
Lorraine is survived by her mother, Arius L. Conoway, and brother, Nevin T. Conoway of Loganton. Her sons, Benjamin M. Tressler of Mifflinburg and Lance D. Tressler of Lincoln, DE., her daughter-in-law, Megan Tressler, and grandchildren, Collin and Liam Tressler. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Michael W. Tressler, and her father, Harry T. Conoway.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 3782 Narrows Rd, Tylersville, PA 17747 on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Wayne G. Wagner officiating. Family and friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow at the Tylersville Community Cemetery.
