LOCK HAVEN— The heart of downtown Lock Haven welcomed a fresh new destination for travel planning services on Thursday, October 16, 2025, as Travel Haven Agency LLC celebrated its official opening at 130 E. Main Street, Suite #4, within the Penny Lane Shops. The occasion was marked by a lively ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Clinton County Economic Partnership, drawing in an enthusiastic crowd of community members and local officials.
With a steady stream of incoming community members, family, and friends, the event underscored a strong sense of support behind the franchise owner, Michelle Dush-McCain, alongside her fiancé and agency partner, Raymond Hart. Also in attendance were Michelle’s daughter and son-in-law, Kesha and Rick Conway.
The celebration brought together several notable community leaders, including Clinton County Commissioners Angela Harding and Jeff Snyder, Jason Fitzgerald—CEO of the Clinton County Economic Partnership, Tourism Director Melissa Dally, Lock Haven City Council member Steve Stevenson, and Megan Wheeler, Chamber & Leadership Director of the Partnership, along with several others from the business and civic communities.
Jason Fitzgerald, CEO of the Clinton County Economic Partnership, addressed the crowd before the ceremonial ribbon cutting: “We’ve got a lot of exciting developments here in the city of Lock Haven, so I want to welcome you to this location,” Fitzgerald said. “I just want to let you know that we’re at the Partnership to help in any way that we can— to help promote this, whether that be connectivity through other members or outreach into other counties.”
Prior to cutting the ribbon, Michelle shared heartfelt remarks, her gratitude and enthusiasm resonating with the crowd. “Thank you all for joining us today to celebrate this exciting milestone. It is truly heartwarming to see so many familiar faces as well as new ones here to support the launch of Travel Haven Agency; your presence does mean the world to us,” she told attendees. “This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our friends, our family, and community, and a special thank you to Raymond, my fiancé, for believing in me. He is always giving and showing 100% on board. Thank you for believing in my vision and helping us bring it to life. I could not do this without him. I work full-time, and he is taking over and doing a lot for us. His encouragement has been the compass guiding us every step of the way. You really are a gem,” Michelle said, looking to her fiancé.
Michelle went on to thank her children for their support and shared her aspirations for the future of Travel Haven Agency. “To my children, Keith and Kesha, as well as their beautiful families, who will someday hopefully be taking this over so that we can get on the road and enjoy traveling.”
