Beech Creek American Legion Brings Support and Smiles to Hollidaysburg VA Home

This past Wednesday, members of Post 623 and the Auxiliary of the Beech Creek American Legion visited the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, delivering both financial support and heartfelt entertainment.

The group presented $2,500 in donations to the facility and brought along the Lindy Sisters to perform for the residents. The event brought smiles and singalongs, creating memorable moments for the senior Veterans in attendance.

Post Commander Steven Heverly expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who made the visit possible.

“I want to thank not only our Post members, but also the Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion, Legion Riders, Social Members, and our entire community,” Heverly said. “This is why we hold our Spring and Fall raffles—because without your support, we couldn’t do what we do.”

Heverly also emphasized the importance of honoring all Veterans, including those who served before us.

“If you could have seen the look on their faces as they sang along with the music—it was truly priceless.”
