Houser Announces Candidacy for Keystone Central School District School Board

NORTH BEND – Megan Houser, a proud life-long resident of the Renovo area, has officially announced her candidacy for the Keystone Central School District School Board during the 2025 Primary Election, set to take place on May 20, 2025.

Raised in Farwell and now residing in North Bend with her husband and their two children, Blake (10) and Gavin (8), Houser has deep roots in the community she hopes to serve. A 2004 graduate of Bucktail Area Junior-Senior High School and a 2008 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Houser brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her campaign. With over a decade of professional expertise in human resources, she currently excels in a talent acquisition role.

Houser shared her motivation for running, stating:  “I decided to run for this seat because this community has done so much for me and my family over the years, and I see this as an opportunity to give back. I care deeply about my friends and neighbors and would love the opportunity to represent and serve them on the school board. Few things impact a community as much or as deeply as the education our children receive, and I want to ensure that we are giving them our very best. Additionally, I want to advocate for transparency and trust between our community and the school board. Region 9 deserves a strong voice—one that knows our history, understands our needs, and fights for opportunities for every student. Let’s celebrate what makes our schools great—and work together to make them even better.”

Houser’s campaign slogan, “Rooted in Renovo, Focused on the Future,” reflects her commitment to honoring the community’s heritage while striving for progress and excellence in education.
