“I Love Clinton County” Signage Approved for Lockport Boat Launch Area
By Christopher Miller
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – Woodward Township Supervisors heard from Kira Rosamilia, Tourism Director, at the Clinton County Economic Partnership, regarding plans to erect signage at the Lockport Boat Launch area in the township.
“We are hoping that besides Hyner View, we can create the next number one spot for people to take a photo will be in Woodward Township, looking over towards the city and courthouse area and down the river for some of our most epic sunsets,” Kira explained to the supervisors.
“We want to bring large, oversized letters where people can pose and take pictures from, creating a new and unique photo opportunity for the area.”
The letters, measuring eight feet tall and 13 feet wide, would be anchored onto a concrete pad and could be removable to protect it in the event of historic flooding.
“They would arrive within 10-12 weeks after placing the order,” Kira said, “right in time for the Labor Day Regatta if we are able to order them soon.”
All township supervisors voted unanimously to pass the motion.
