Central Mountain Boys Tennis Falls to Montoursville, 4-1
MONTOURSVILLE – The Central Mountain boys JV/Varsity tennis team traveled to Montoursville Area High School on Friday afternoon, falling by a score of 4-1 in a non-league matchup.
The Wildcats earned their lone win at #1 singles, where Joey McClucskiy defeated Rain Snyder in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
At #2 singles, Tim Brinker put up a strong fight but lost to Cullen Pauling, 3-6, 5-7. Wesley Cowart also battled in a close match at #3 singles, ultimately falling to Gio Catino, 4-6, 4-6.
In doubles play, Brayden Spedding and Mitchell Borges were defeated 2-6, 2-6 by Mason Morrow and Cole Snyder at the top spot. At #2 doubles, Ben Brinker and Jeremiah Plummer dropped their match to Colby Ulmer and Mason Fry, 3-6, 2-6.
With the loss, Central Mountain drops to 1-2 on the season. The Wildcats will return to action Monday, March 24, when they travel to take on Shikellamy in another road contest.
