LHU Women’s Basketball stifles Mansfield, 65-43
MANSFIELD, Pa. – Four Lock Haven women’s basketball players scored in double figures and the Bald Eagles led from start to finish to take down Mansfield, 65-43, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road contest on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 18).
With the victory, Lock Haven improves to 11-5 overall and 6-3 in the PSAC, while Mansfield falls to 7-10 on the season and 3-8 in the conference.
The Bald Eagles never trailed and outscored the Mounties in every quarter on their way to a convincing PSAC East victory on the road.
The Haven scored a game-high 19 points in the first and fourth period after shooting 50 percent from the field and knocking down a combined nine shots at the charity stripe.
Lock Haven forced 18 turnovers and dominated the glass where it held a lopsided 56-31 advantage.
Madeline Evans was a monster in the paint once again and finished with a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double.
Jenadia Jordan and Rhlyn Rouse scored 16 points each to lead the Bald Eagles in scoring.
Rouse secured a double-double with a season-high 12 rebounds. Jordan dished out a team-high four assists.
Kiera Baughman rounded out the Bald Eagles in double figures and added 11 points and a team-high three steals.

The Bald Eagles return home on Wednesday (Jan. 22) at 5:30 p.m. to host Shippensburg in a PSAC East battle.
