LOCK HAVEN— During the Clinton County Commissioner’s meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2025, the recipients of the 2025 Clinton County Tourism Grant were announced by Kira Rosamilia, Tourism Director at the Clinton County Economic Partnership (CCEP), and Matt Croak, Community Planner/Zoning Officer for the county.
“We had 20 applicants, and their request was close to $170,000,” Rosamilia reported during the meeting. Out of the 20 applicants, 17 were selected to receive grant funding.
Originally budgeted for $75,000, the grant funding was increased to $100,000 following “hours-long” discussions about the exceptional quality of the applications. Understanding the significance of these projects for the county’s growth, Rosamilia proposed the budget increase during a meeting with Commissioners Angela Harding and Jim Russo, along with CCEP Interim CEO Dave Harger. Everyone agreed to the increase, which enabled the grant committee to fund even more deserving projects.
The additional $25,000 was made possible due to the outstanding performance of local hotels and a measurable increase in visitors to Clinton County, allowing the grant committee to draw from its savings.
Adding to Rosamilia’s statements, Croak acknowledged the grant committee members for their work on the 2025 Clinton County Tourism Grant. “Before we dive into the award winners, we want to give a big thanks to our committee,” Croak said. “We expanded this year to get a bigger, [more] diverse selection from everybody just to get different opinions on how things should be.”
The grant committee reviewed all applications thoroughly and chose 17 unique projects to receive funding. Those committee members included Matt Croak, Steve Gibson, Commissioner Angela Harding, Chris Hoy, Gregg Lucas, Joan Marshall, Joslynne (Jossy) Mutchler, Kira Rosamilia, and Commissioner Jim Russo.
