Central Mountain Boys Roll Past Loyalsock
LOYALSOCK – The Central Mountain Wildcats hit the road Wednesday night and delivered a much-needed victory, defeating Loyalsock 73-57 in a non-conference matchup. Entering the game with a 1-4 record, the Wildcats found their stride early and never looked back, using a dominant third quarter to seal the win.
Central Mountain wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to a commanding lead in the first quarter behind stifling defense and efficient offense. By halftime, the Wildcats had extended their advantage to 31-16, leaving Loyalsock searching for answers.
The Wildcats erupted in the third quarter, putting together a scoring surge that effectively put the game out of reach. Despite a late push by Loyalsock in the fourth quarter, the Wildcats maintained their composure and closed out the game decisively.
Hunter Hoy paced the Wildcats with 18 points, while Darius Shade added 16. Caleb Mahoney contributed 11 points, and Noah Wells chipped in with eight. Blake Walker and Carson Couturiaux each finished with six, while Jeremy Reese and Isah Dorman added three apiece.
The Wildcats improved to 2-4 on the season with the victory and will look to build on this momentum when they travel to Dubois on Saturday, December 23, for another road contest.
