Female Body Found in Noyes Township

Coroner Summoned to Scene

NOYES TOWNSHIP —State police have made no linkage to the disappearance of a Renovo woman as late this afternoon they issued a release about a “death investigation” relative to a female body found at Halls Run, Noyes Township.

Their release said only: “An unidentified deceased female was found at the above location this afternoon. An attempt to identify the remains is ongoing. The Clinton County Coroner was on scene.”

Meanwhile the husband of a missing Renovo woman has been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and is now at the Clinton County Correctional Facility. William “B.J.” Snyder was taken into custody at a motel in Horseheads, NY, Friday and returned to Clinton County overnight. Authorities said he was to be arraigned on that charge tonight.

Snyder’s wife disappeared from Renovo Easter Sunday and has not been seen since. A massive search for her has been ongoing since Tuesday.
