Front-running pack carries LHU Women’s Cross Country to second-place finish
HOUGHTON, N.Y. – A strong front-running packed carried the Lock Haven women’s cross country team to a second-place finish at today’s (Saturday, Oct. 12) Houghton University Highlander Invitational.
The Haven’s top-five runners all finished among the top-12 today as the Bald Eagles finished second of seven in the team standings.
Leading the way was Aubrey Sechrist who finished sixth of 86 total individual finishers in 23:17.9 (6K).
Kaydence Strange and Gwen Lloyd cracked the top-10 with times of 23:21.6 (7th) and 23:29.5 (8th).
Nicole Carroll and Krista Jones finished 11th (23:51.3) and 12th (23:53.4), respectively.
Jenna Smith and Claire Hauser rounded out The Haven’s top-seven today in 24:21.6 (18th) and 24:24.5 (19th).
The Bald Eagles will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by Geneseo.
