Obituary – Nancy Huff

Nancy J. Huff, 87, of Williamsport passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 surrounded by family. Surviving is her loving husband, William G. Huff, Jr. whom she married August 20, 1955 and together they shared over 68 years of love.

Born December 10, 1936 in Renovo, she was a daughter of the late Ellery Sr. and Anna (Mason) McGregor.

She was a 1954 graduate of Renovo High School. Nancy worked in the Williamsport Area School District for over 25 years, serving as a Library and Computer Aide. She was an avid bingo and card player, and lover of anything teddy bear.

If Nancy knew you, she loved you; a philosophy that she embodied fully. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special, often greeting friends and strangers alike with a warm “honey” that was genuine and heartwarming. This term of endearment was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her legacy is one of love and devotion. Nancy loved with everything she had, a trait that made her an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, William G. Huff III (Sara) of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Cynthia A. Huff-Walters (Derk) of Macungie, PA, and Sherry L. Johnson (Craig) of Cogan Station; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Huff (Emily), Nicole Confer (Nathan), Adam Huff (Alison), Brittney Glass (Joshua), Danielle Brown (Haley), Emily Hedus (Will) and Braedon Walters; seven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Aubrey, Landon, Chase, Rowyn, Anabelle, and Magnolia; her siblings, Ruthie Aber (Frank) of Kenly, NC, Darlene James (Roger) of Williamsport, Martha Sykes and Larry McGregor (Rhonda) all of Renovo; and many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ellery McGregor Jr., Deborah Storeman, William McGregor, and Ronald McGregor.

A funeral service to honor Nancy’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Balls Mills United Methodist Church, 5941 Bloomingrove Road, Cogan Station PA, 17728. Burial will follow in Bloomingrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at church.
