LHU’s Rager earns Individual All-Academic Honors; Men’s Cross Country receives team award

LOCK HAVEN– Jakob Rager of the Lock Haven men’s cross country team has earned 2023 NCAA Division II U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Individual All-Academic honors, the organization announced on Wednesday (Feb. 1).

As a team, The Haven men earned 2023 USTFCCA Team All-Academic Honors.

Rager achieved the honor as an exercise science major.

On the course, Rager raced to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) All-Conference status as he finished 25th with a time of 27:26.4. The freshman paced the Bald Eagles at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships, where he finished 50th of 157 with a 10K time of 32:32.1.

As a team, the Bald Eagles were host to both the PSAC and Atlantic Region Championships, at their home West Branch Cross Country Course.
