LHU Men’s Track & Field competes at Diplomat Open; Caputo wins triple jump
LANCASTER, PA – The Lock Haven men’s indoor track and field team sent the duo of Tanner Walter (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) and Dominic Caputo (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) to compete at the Diplomat Open, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College today (Friday, Dec. 8).
It was Caputo who led the way as he took home top honors in the triple jump with a winning mark of 45-10.75. The jump hit a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships qualifying mark and is the fifth-best mark in Lock Haven history.
Walter competed in the 5000-meter race and ran a time of 16:06.94, which placed him eighth out of 21 runners.
