City/Suburban Water Authority Implement Drought Warning – Call For Conservation

news-breakLOCK HAVEN – The City of Lock Haven today announced due to a continued reduced rainfall a Drought Warning Stage 1 has been implemented in the entire service area of the City and Suburban water systems. All customers are requested to conserve whenever and wherever possible and not to use water for non-essential uses.
The city is also requesting a voluntary water use reduction by all users in the amount of 25 percent; a list of suggested conservation measures will be provided upon request.
This notice applies to all of the City and Suburban Water Authority service areas, including the City of Lock Haven, Castanea Township, Wayne Township, Lamar Township and Dunnstable Township; Suburban’s service area includes Woodward, Colebrook and Bald Eagle Townships and Mill Hall and Flemington boroughs.
