Truck-Lite Expands in McElhattan

McELHATTAN – Truck-Lite has announced an expansion at its McElhattan facility. Word came from company headquarters in Falconer, NY:

Truck-Lite Co., LLC, a Clarience Technologies company, is expanding its McElhattan facility by adding a 15,000-square-foot addition that will incorporate 12 new work centers and add six new job positions. The expansion will house work within the heavy-injection molding department and will be completed by October 2020.

Mike Flanagan, Clinton County Economic Partnership CEO, on Wednesday welcomed the news: “We thank Truck-Lite for its investment in the local facility. Truck-Lite has been a major player in our community for many years and we look forward to the addition being completed. We also would like to thank the Wayne Township officials for their help in making this project a reality.”

Truck-Lite maintains facilities in McElhattan, Wellsboro and Coudersport in Pennsylvania and international facilities n Harlow, England and Puebla, Mexico.

According to the company, Truck-Lite is a worldwide leader in forward and safety lighting, wiring harness, turn signal and safety system technologies serving the medium- and heavy-duty truck, trailer and commercial vehicle industries.

At last report Truck-Lite had more than 300 employees in McElhattan and a “hiring” sign remains up in front of the entrance.
