Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton to 41; Centre County Unchanged at 117; Lyco Jumps to 127

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Saturday update, confirmed as of 12 p.m., May 8, that there are an additional 1,078 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 55,316. The department also reported a new death total of 3,616, an increase of 72 from Friday.

Clinton County cases moved up two to 41, Lycoming up 18 to 127 and Centre County held at 117. Other counties adjoining Clinton remained unchanged: Clearfield, 24; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, at 40.

There are 221,791 people who have tested negative statewide to date. That number is 335 in Clinton County.
