Carson to Attend LHU, Kick for the Bald Eagles

cm-footballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Austyn Carson has announced he has committed to attend Lock Haven University and further his athletic career with the Bald Eagle football program as a place kicker.

Carson has been a three sport athlete where he has served as the quarterback and place kicker for the Central Mountain football team for the past two seasons. Carson has also been the starting shortstop on the Wildcat baseball team for the past two seasons and is projected to play that position again this spring. Carson has also been a key participant on the CM wrestling team, though he has had to battle through some minor injuries the past two seasons.

Over the past two seasons, Carson had 61 kickoffs for the Wildcats with an average of 45.8 yards, including 6 touchbacks. Carson was also 7-16 in field goal attempts with a career long kick of 57 yards. Carson completed 119 passes on 225 attempts for 1,338 yards and 4 touchdowns. Carson also ran for 555 yards and is credited for 8 rushing touchdowns in his varsity career.
