KCSD Conducting Interviews for New Superintendent

 

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Keystone Central School Board Tuesday night will begin the interview process in the effort to find a permanent superintendent.

Board president Charlie Rosamilia told therecord-online four candidates are to be interviewed by way of the internet this evening with two more to follow in the days ahead. He said the list of applicants will be reduced to two or three for additional final interviews in a more public setting in the near future. It is hoped, Rosamilia said, to have a permanent superintendent on board by June or July.

The board president also confirmed that the district’s acting superintendent, Al Lonoconus, is among those who are seeking the permanent post. Lonoconus was recently named by the board as “substitute” superintendent, filling the vacancy created by the departure of former superintendent Kelly Hastings. Lonoconus sat in one his first meeting last week in his new position. He is a resident of Catawissa, Columbia County with a lengthy history of public school administration.
