‘Cats Pick Up 69-64 Win at Shamokin

SHAMOKIN – The Wildcats opened up play in the PHAC today with a road trip to Shamokin. Central Mountain set the tone early edging the Indians 21-18 in the first period then the Wildcats lost their offensive momentum in the second quarter with the hosts outscoring CM 15-8 but the Wildcats held onto a slight 33-29 advantage at the break.

Central Mountain re-grouped and the shots started dropping again for the Wildcats and they improved their lead to 50-46 with the final 8 minutes looming.

It was neck-and-neck in that fourth quarter but the Wildcats held onto a 19-18 effort to preserve the lead and the 69-64 win.

Collin Jones had 18 followed by Matt Storeman with 17, Trevor Hanna with 13 and Isaiah McCann with 12 led the effort for the ‘Cats and Jake Skrtich score 9 points for CM.

Central Mountain moved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the PHAC and will next see action when they will host rival Jersey Shore on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017.
