CM Cross-Country Splits with Bloom and Warrior Run

BLOOMSBURG – The Central Mountain cross-country teams were on the road again today as they faced the Huskies of Bloomsburg and the Defenders of Warrior Run.

In the girls’ race, CM split in the triangular meet falling to Warrior Run, 34-25 and taking down Bloomsburg 19-36.

Alyssa Laughner was the top overall finisher once more, completing the course in 22:18. Ellie Nesbitt​​ placed fourth overall in 22:56 and Christina Lugg​ turned in a time of 23:04 to finish in fifth place overall. The Lady Wildcats are now 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the PHAC.

For the boys’, it was a similar split on the day. The Wildcats fell to Warrior Run 34-25 while they took advantage of Warrior Run 19-36.

Corbin Green returned to action and finished eighth overall in 19:38 followed by James Riccardo​, 11th place in 20:36 and Owen Rinker​​ was right behind in 12th place at Owen Rinker​​ with 20:39. The ‘Cats are now 3-8 overall for 2017 and 0-2 in the PHAC.

Next up for Central Mountain is a trip to Hershey for the PIAA Foundation XC Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017.
