Not Guilty Verdict in Child Sex Case

LOCK HAVEN — Clinton County Judge Michael Salisbury on Friday rendered a not guilty verdict in an aggravated indecent assault case against a Woodward Township man.

Testimony was heard Thursday and closing arguments Friday morning in the case against Nathan Brown, 34, of 137 Cardinal Drive. After hearing from prosecutor/assistant district attorney Mike Angelelli and defense attorney David Lindsay, Judge Salisbury found Brown not guilty of all charges, aggravated indecent assault and two counts of indecent assault.

The charges had been filed by Woodward Township police, the case involving a now 11-year-old girl who said she had been improperly touched by Brown on multiple occasions when she was nine years of age. According to testimony the alleged incidents had occurred in the Brown home when the girl and family members were visiting the Brown family.

The defense introduced witnesses who challenged the timeline of the alleged offenses as presented by the police. The alleged victim had been the initial witness on Thursday. The defendant was the final witness and denied the improper contact allegations against him.
