RENOVO – Clinton County’s long-standing effort to get its new Renovo magisterial office in operation is over. Office clerk-typist Connie Werts, left, and judicial secretary Carrie DeMarte, right, were on hand Monday for the first day in the newly renovated office at Ninth Street and Huron Avenue.

County maintenance staff had begun work on the former Gleghorn insurance office earlier this year and they put up new signage at the refurbished building Friday, moving day from the old location at the west end of town, that structure deemed beyond repair. The county commissioners recently said the relocated office effort came in at $258,000, what they said was a considerable savings over previously considered plans. Office hours are Monday, 8-5; Tuesday, Central Court; Wednesday, 8-12:30; Thursday, 8-5; Friday, 8-5. Record photo – Jeannine Lipez
