Venturing Crew 1701 Recruiting for New Season

VenturingLOCK HAVEN – Who has fun trying out new hobbies and high-adventure activities? The Venturers, That’s who, Venturing Crew 1701 is recruiting for the new season. If you are 14 to 20 years old male or female and would love to try new and exciting adventures like canoeing, kayaking, first aid/CPR training, white water rafting, zip lining, camping, hiking, cooking, shooting sports give us a try. These are just a taste of some of the things finding their way on to our yearly calendar. Join the crew and add your ideas to the list. Our only limitations are our own imaginations. High-adventure isn’t our only focus. Community service also plays a big role in the Venturing program. As does growing leadership skills and developing relationships between our young adults and the community around them.

Crew 1701 is part of the Susquehanna Council of the Boy Scouts of America, chartered by the Lock Haven YMCA. We meet the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesday every month from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the downstairs meeting room of the Lock Haven YMCA. 145 East Water St. Lock Haven Pa. 17745. Stop by and check out a meeting and see what’s on our calendar of events.
