Walker Named Clinton Democrat of Year

woozy-2-140417MILL HALL — Retired Clinton County Coroner Donald G. “Woozy” Walker was recognized at the annual Carl Kephart Dinner staged by the county Democratic Party on Thursday night. Walker, second from left, was presented with a state House citation from state Rep. Mike Hanna, left and recognized by funeral home/coroner office associates John Hanna Sr., third from left, and Zach Hanna, right. Walker served for 20 years as county coroner, replaced in January by Zach Hanna. John Hanna, who continues as chief deputy coroner, lauded Walker for serving the county with “a resolve to be the voice of those that could no longer speak for themselves and to assure that family members that survived were treated with sensitivity, respect and honesty.”

Speakers at the event included the two Democrats seeking to unseat incumbent GOP 5th district congressman Glenn Thompson. They were Tom Tarantella from Renovo and Kerith Strano Taylor from Brookville.
