Lady Bulldogs Outpace Central Mountain, 44-25
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was another struggle with offensive output for Central Mountain as they hosted rival Jersey Shore, falling 44-25.
Both teams had issues with establishing consistent shooting, though, the Lady Bulldogs fared better int that respect earning 14-2 lead after one quarter and stretched that to a 21-8 advantage at the break.
It was more of the same as ‘Shore outpaced the Lady Wildcats 8-5 in the third period with Averie Pringle doing all the scoring that period with 2 field goals and free throw. In the final period, it was Autumn Young who stepped up for the Lady ‘Cats draining three 3-point shots from outside the arc, then going 2-3 from the penalty stripe.
Hanna Kauffman had a very good night for Jersey Shore scoring 21 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
After Young’s 11 point effort, Pringle scored 8 points for the Lady Wildcats, with Hayley Bauer scoring 4 points and Elaina Eckley adding 2 points for the cause.
Next up for Central Mountain is a road trip to Midd-West on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017.
