Child-Parent Reunited

news-break-feaLOCK HAVEN — State police say a 2-year-old boy has been reunited with his mother after he wandered away from her while she napped.

The police report said the infant was napping with his mother early this afternoon. Their report said he awoke before his mother and slipped out the front door. After the youth was found unattended, authorities sent out a social media message seeking assistance. The mother was later located at her residence, police said.

Their report said Clinton County Children and Youth Services are assisting the mother further. Both agencies said they encourage parents to use alarms and/or child safety locks to help secure active children in their residences.

The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Susquehanna Health Medical Center near the Lock Haven – Flemington boundary.

No identities were released.
