drugs-1LOCK HAVEN – Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse this afternoon announced the arrest of three men on drug charges following a Tuesday morning raid on a home in Lock Haven.

Today’s announcement follows earlier word of two additional drug raids, one on Tuesday in Renovo, another on Thursday in South Renovo.

The announcement from DA Strouse:

“Jamarr Trevale Hairston, 22, Brimir Akeem Grove, 19, and Charles Lewis, 19, of 505 West Church Street were all arrested after the Clinton County East Drug Task Force, including members of the Lock Haven City Police and the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, executed a search warrant on that address a little after 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Jamarr Hairston is alleged to have delivered marijuana to a confidential informant on three occasions in March and April of this year.  Police claim that Hairston, who also goes by the name “Cleveland,” was located in a bedroom at the West Church Street residence when police entered the building Tuesday morning.  Hairston then began to throw bags full of marijuana out of the bedroom window and onto a porch.  Hairston is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of criminal use of a communication facility and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Brimir Grove is alleged to have been involved in the delivery of marijuana to a confidential informant on three occasions in March and April of this year.  Grove is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of criminal use of a communication facility, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.  When apprehended, Grove was alleged to be found in possession of a vacuum sealer used for the packaging of marijuana for sale.

When police searched the residence on Tuesday, a third roommate at the residence, Charles Lewis, was alleged to be in possession of an amount of marijuana that is greater than what would be considered for personal use.  Lewis is charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

All three were arraigned by MDJ Joseph Sanders, III, and scheduled for a first appearance in Central Court on April 26, 2016.”

Strouse, as part of his successful campaign for district attorney in 2015, had promised an aggressive approach in dealing with drugs in the community.
