Lock Haven’s Puff Express Hit in Morning Robbery

LOCK HAVEN — A lone gunman made off with an undisclosed amount of money in a Monday morning robbery at the Puff Express at Bellefonte Avenue and Commerce St.

The store manager told therecord-online a lone male entered the store about 11:15 a.m. and pulled a handgun from his coat pocket and pointed it at the manager and demanded money, keeping the weapon aimed at him while the manager secured money from a register.

The manager and another employee were to ordered to lie down while the intruder ran from the store. City police are investigating and said a company surveillance shot of the robber will be posted when available.

The store manager said the intruder was a white man, about 6-1 in height and between the ages of 28 and 35, wearing a Carhartt style coat with a hood which he had pulled up over his head and a blue bandana over his face. The manager, who asked to not have his name used, said the robber’s appearance and dress were similar to the robber recently responsible for a string of convenience store robberies in the Williamsport area.
