Green Dragons hold off CM boys’ soccer, 2-1

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA- It was a challenging night for a soccer game at Malinak Stadium on Monday, rain and wind at times. Central Mountain boys soccer would battle perennial state power Lewisburg (6-1) but the Green dragons would come out on top with a hard-earned 2-1 win.

After one half of the game both teams were scoreless. In the second half Central Mountain Wildcat Colby Bakaj would score a goal off a Lewisburg defensive error with 29:17 left in the game. However, Lewisburg would battle back and score to tie the game and then score the go-ahead goal.

Goalie Luke Simcox was busy in the box for the Wildcats with 14 saves.

With the loss the Wildcats now 3-5 on the season will travel to Danville on Thursday night.
