Packard resigns as Pine Creek Township supervisor

AVIS, PA – Pine Creek Township Supervisor Ken Packard announced his resignation from that post at the end of a brief Wednesday supervisors’ meeting; the resignation accepted by fellow board members.

Packard, a Republican, had been elected in November of 2021. Sources said he cited health reasons in his decision to resign.

Packard’s departure means two Clinton County townships are seeking to fill vacancies. The other is Bald Eagle Township where supervisor/board chairman Clarence “Tuff” Rine passed away last month. Township residents interested in replacing him have until Friday to submit their letters of interest. The person selected will serve through the end of this calendar year.
