Blanchard woman victim in weekend motorcycle crash
BOGGS TOWNSHIP, PA – A Blanchard woman lost her life the result of a motorcycle accident Saturday night on Route 150 (Eagle Valley Road) near Curtin Hollow Road in Centre County.
Rockview state police identified the victim as Barbara Frigo, age 49. She had been life-flighted to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after the accident.
The police report said she was a passenger on a motorcycle operated by Jeremy Frigo, 52, of Blanchard. Police said he suffered apparent serious injuries and was also taken by helicopter to Geisinger.
Police said the Frigo Harley was northbound and “locked its brakes for an unknown reason;” the cycle crossed the center lane, overturned, and slid on the roadway for a short distance. Police said its occupants were not wearing any safety gear.
The police report said that, pending investigation, Jeremy Frigo is facing a charge of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence. Four EMS units and three fire companies responded to the 9:22 p.m. Saturday crash.
