Season ends for Keystone 11s at state tourney
WEST CHESTER, PA – It was quite the ride for the Keystone 11 All-Stars this season and an otherwise wonderful year ended in a 10-2 loss to East Side on Monday at the Pennsylvania championships in West Chester.
East Side jumped on top with five first inning runs and kept Keystone off the board until the fifth inning when the Clinton County team scored its only two runs. Even with the defeat, the squad ended with District 12 and Section 3 titles and a top-six finish in the state.
Keystone had six hits, two singles from Brayden Wolfgang and one single each from Ehan Nestor, Brad Brungard, Lincoln Prough and Drayton Packer. The team went 1-2 at states.
Three pitchers, Nestor, Carter Miller and Colt Hill divided the pitching duties.
