Keystone Juniors down Montgomery, 17-7
MONTOURSVILLE, PA – The Keystone Junior Little League team kept its season alive with a 17-7, five-inning thrashing of Montgomery in a Thursday evening elimination game.
Montgomery put up five runs in the top of the first but 14 Keystone runs in the bottom of the inning opened things up for the winners. Montgomery helped the cause by committing 10 errors.
Five Keystone pitchers shared the mound duties; Kole Corman, Caleb Stitzer, Hayes Donley, Kyle Everett, and Nolan Karstetter. They combined to hold Montgomery to six hits. Stitzer logged the most work, 2.1 innings, giving up two hits and one earned run.
Keystone had nine hits, all singles. Leading the way was Corman, a 3-for-3 evening with three runs scored and four batted in. Mason Masorti had two and three RBIs. Stitzer, Hayes Donley and Brody Swanger each had a single and RBI and Luke Nonemaker had a single.
