Keystone Seniors advance to title game with 8-4 win over Loyalsock
LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, PA – The Keystone Senior All-Star team defeated home-standing Loyalsock by an 8-4 score on Friday, moving the Clinton County team into the District 12 title game scheduled for Montoursville on Wednesday, June 28. The opponent will be either Loyalsock or Montoursville, both losing their games to Keystone this week.
Keystone took an early lead Friday, 2-0, but ‘Sock scored three in the fourth to take a 3-2 lead. Five runs from Keystone in the top of the sixth gave the visitors a 7-3 lead and paved the way to the 8-4 final.
Keystone pounded out 14 hits, led by Griffin Kerstetter with three, including a double, and Aiden Jones with two, including a home run and three RBIs. Darius Shade and Blake Walker each had two hits with a double each and Shade had an RBI. Hayes Miller had two hits and an RBI, Dane Hanna with a double and an RBI, and singles from Cole Cooper and Nolan Cross.
Jones and Shade handled the pitching duties, holding Loyalsock to two hits. Shade went 5.1 innings, picking up the win.
