BEA, Bellefonte state title bids postponed to Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Given the wet weather, the PIAA has announced that all state championship baseball games scheduled for Friday have been moved back one day to Saturday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on the Penn State campus.

That means the AA title game, a District 6 rematch, between Bald Eagle Area (21-4) and Mt Union (24-2) will be played at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. BEA downed Mt Union 11-5 in the District 6 title game on May 30 and also owns a 1-0 regular season win over the Trojans, Mt Union’s only two losses.

Bellefonte (19-5) will meet Dallas (18-7) in the AAAA championship game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.
